On April 20th 2005, The May edition of Mobile Magazine hit news stands with a review of the Simpl A1. Mobile states "The extra power is especially noticeable in the bass, which sounds much more powerful and focused through the Simpl [A1]." Mobile scored the A1 4 out of 5.

Mobile goes on to say: "When we want the biggest sound from our iPod, we've come to rely on the Simpl [A1]."
